There’s no better way to add personality to a room than with accessories that refect your interests. And if you’re reading this, you must love Dogs.
Whether new, vintage or antique; you can find furniture designs featuring a Dog motif.
Here’s an Italian Greyhound pedestal table that certainly makes a statement:
Carved Dog Pedestal Table, K. Spiegelman
The Dog is doing a balancing act with a table-top perched perfectly on his head.
Notice the real Pup’s look. He must be wondering how the Greyhound remains so still with a table-top on his head.
Don’t fret if you’re not into Italian Greyhounds.

Made of bronze, the design inspiration for the new pair of Italian Greyhounds was an antique statue.
Hounds definitely seem to be the Dog of choice for the designs…check out this pair of Palm Beach Pups…
Dog Pedestal Tables, F.S. Henemader Antiques
The regal Italian Greyhounds have their original gold & silver gilt finish from the mid-20th century.
Very detailed right down to the Dog Collar, I’m sure these Greyhounds will find a home soon.
They really need one, because they do not look too happy…

Maitland Smith was the maker of the Whippet coffee table seen below.
The vintage bronze table has a trio of Dogs sharing the weight of the glass top.

My Dog Taffy is living proof that not all Dogs can be trained to balance objects on their heads.
Take this playful puppy of an occasional table:
Rolf Dog Table, Currey & Company
Rolf obviously barks to the beat of a different drum. I find that refreshing.
So, heads or tails…which Dog table is your favorite?
Later, I’ve got to let the Dog out,
