I cannot remember a time that I was not interested in Interior Design.  I blame it entirely on my parents. 

Why, you ask?  Because my father was a physician in the military, our family moved often.  We moved about every two years when I was a child.  My Mother would unpack and make each new house a home in record time.

I found it all to be very exciting. Moving allowed me to experience a variety of cultures and constantly exposed me to new surroundings and architecture.  

I continued the family tradition of moving with school, careers, and marriage.  I actually counted, and discovered that I’ve moved 27 times.  That was not a typo: I have lived in Twenty Seven different homes from the North to the South, to the East to the West and even overseas.

After each move, I would make a mental list of what features I liked about a house and what I was glad to leave behind.   My design point of view & taste level developed with each move.

You could say that moving and creating a “home” in a new space is second nature to me, but I have to give some credit to my design education & work experience.  (And, of course, my Dog.)
