China was the origin for the Pug, Shar Pei, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Chinese Crested, Tibetan Terrier and Chow Chow.
You can often spot Dogs frolicking among the fanciful pagodas & oriental figures in the designs of Asian inspired fabrics and wallpapers.

Scalamandré’s Voyage to Cathay Collection, features several Dogs on Shanghai, a hand-printed toile fabric.
