James Corbett is a real, live junkyard dog.
His pedigree is 100% AutoZone.
He’s also an Artistic Hound.
The Australian Artist, and former auto salvage yard operator, began creating his incredible steampunk sculptures out of discarded auto parts in 1999.

Mr. Interior Design Hound, a real vintage auto buff, loves them.
Corbett approaches his artwork as the search for a solution to a puzzle. Each auto part is a separate piece needed to solve his puzzle.
He respects the integrity of each car part and does not bend or change them just to make a piece fit the “puzzle.” That would be too easy.

James Corbett can spend weeks sourcing the perfect piece for his sculptures. The interesting gears, spark plugs, carburetor’s, radiators & parts can be over eighty years old!
When found, every auto part is meticulously cleaned & welded together to create a personality that defies its inanimate makeup.

In addition to his Dog sculptures, his subjects have included people, motorcyclists, vintage cars, and other animals.
